On 2nd March 2017, the first edition of the Smart City Innovation Awards were held. This took place in the Ernst and Young room at Catolica Business School. Participants were all members of the Innovation Management Course in Catolica. The Jury, which comprised of the Vice President of Brisa Autoestradas de Portugal, Pedro Rocha e Melo, the Innovation and Product director of VPS- Virtual Power Solutions and the Head of Digital Transformation in Catolica , Joao Ribeiro da Costa, awarded the first prize to CleverPark. CleverPark is a project that creates a peer to peer platform for private parking in Lisbon.
